{"id":137,"date":"2013-11-30T09:38:27","date_gmt":"2013-11-29T21:38:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.asyouwish.co.nz\/blog\/?p=137"},"modified":"2016-01-13T09:31:12","modified_gmt":"2016-01-12T20:31:12","slug":"mug-cookies-in-a-jar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/asyouwish.co.nz\/blog\/mug-cookies-in-a-jar\/","title":{"rendered":"Mug Cookies in a Jar"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><em>12 Days of Christmas Ideas &#8211; Day 6<\/em><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>Earlier this year I was introduced to the marvellous idea of a <a title=\"Brownie in a Mug\" href=\"http:\/\/www.simplyrecipes.com\/recipes\/brownie_in_a_mug\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018Brownie in a Mug\u2019<\/a>.\u00a0 While they aren\u2019t good for slimming the waistline, they sure do hit the spot when you\u2019re craving something sweet and don\u2019t have the time to bake a whole cake. \u00a0\u00a0Now, as I often do when discovering a new baked item, I set out in search of the perfect recipe for this delectable dessert.\u00a0 Along the way I discovered a number of recipes for cookies in a mug.\u00a0 This got me to thinking \u2013 \u201cCan I make these into mini versions of the <a title=\"Cookies in a Jar Recipes\" href=\"http:\/\/allrecipes.com\/recipes\/holidays-and-events\/christmas\/food-gifts\/cookie-mix-in-a-jar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018Cookies in a Jar\u2019<\/a> idea?\u201d \u00a0After a number of trails and the adaptation of a variety of recipes I came up with three recipes for \u2018Mug Cookies in a Jar\u2019, which is the Christmas idea I wish to share with you today.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_140\" style=\"width: 626px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-140\" class=\" wp-image-140 \" title=\"Mug Cookies in a Jar\" src=\"http:\/\/www.asyouwish.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/dscf1648-1024x764.jpg\" alt=\"Mug Cookies in a Jar\" width=\"616\" height=\"459\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-140\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mug Cookies in a Jar<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Hootycreek Cookie in a Mug<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>1. Layer the ingredients in a 170g jar in the order they are listed below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 tsp of Flour<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of Salt<\/li>\n<li>2 Tbsp of Rolled Oats<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp of Flour<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp Brown Sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp of Cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp of White Sugar<\/li>\n<li>A layer of Cranberries<\/li>\n<li>A layer of White Chocolate Chips<\/li>\n<li>A layer of Pecan Nuts chopped.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. Attach tag with the following instructions:<\/p>\n<p>Place 1 Tbsp of butter in a mug and melt in the microwave for 30 seconds on High. Add the contents from the jar, mix a little before adding 1 egg yolk, 2-3 drops of vanilla and 1 Tbsp of water.\u00a0 Mix until fully combined.\u00a0 Cook in the microwave on high for 1 minute.<\/p>\n<h5><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Rainbow Button Cookie in a Mug<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>1. Layer the ingredients in a 170g jar in the order they are listed below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a05 tsp of Flour<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp of Cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>4 tsp of Flour<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of Salt<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp Brown Sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp of White Sugar<\/li>\n<li>A layer of Candy Coated Chocolate buttons (e.g. M&amp;Ms, Pebbles or Smarties)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. Attach tag with the following instructions:<\/p>\n<p>Place 1 Tbsp of butter in a mug and melt in the microwave for 30 seconds on High. Layer the ingredients in a 170g jar in the order they are listed below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a04 tsp of Flour<\/li>\n<li>2 Tbsp of Cocoa<\/li>\n<li>5 tsp of Flour<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of Salt<\/li>\n<li>6 tsp Brown Sugar<\/li>\n<li>Pinch of Cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>3 tsp of White Sugar<\/li>\n<li>A layer of Candy Coated Chocolate buttons (e.g. M&amp;Ms, Pebbles or Smarties)<\/li>\n<li>A layer of Walnuts chopped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2.
