{"id":492,"date":"2014-08-12T23:58:15","date_gmt":"2014-08-12T11:58:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.asyouwish.co.nz\/blog\/?p=492"},"modified":"2016-01-13T12:52:36","modified_gmt":"2016-01-12T23:52:36","slug":"words-of-wisdom-for-the-happy-couple","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asyouwish.co.nz\/blog\/words-of-wisdom-for-the-happy-couple\/","title":{"rendered":"Words of Wisdom for the Happy Couple"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>A guest book alternative for the faith based wedding.<\/em><\/span><\/h5>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-493 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/www.asyouwish.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Legacy-Bible-1024x655.jpg\" alt=\"Guest Book Alternative\" width=\"770\" height=\"492\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I was recently out with a client looking at venues when I\u00a0came across this idea.\u00a0 The Bride and Groom-to-be\u00a0simply set up a Bible for the guests to underline their favourite verse and then sign their name next to it for the couple to read at a later\u00a0date.\u00a0 The reason I like this idea so much is that this\u00a0Bible could\u00a0then go on to\u00a0have further verses underlined or notes added to it by the couple, throughout their married life.\u00a0 It could even becoming a\u00a0family heirloom, or if you prefer a &#8216;Legacy Bible&#8217;,\u00a0\u00a0that can then be handed down through the generations to come.<\/p>\n<p>While this idea may not be everyone&#8217;s &#8216;cup of tea&#8217; I think it offers a thoughtful alternative to the traditional wedding guest book.\u00a0\u00a0I know I often struggle to think of something meaningful to\u00a0write in\u00a0the wedding guest book, so often I\u00a0just resort to the good old &#8220;Congratulations and best wishes for the years ahead&#8221; comment &#8211; not particularly awe-inspiring.\u00a0 Maybe that is why some couples decide not to have one at all.<\/p>\n<p>So if you have a wedding coming up\u00a0soon,\u00a0even a milestone birthday or anniversary,\u00a0and you are\u00a0looking for a novel way to record the\u00a0well-wishes from your guests this may just work for you.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A guest book alternative for the faith based wedding.
