Our cute little Easter baskets<\/p><\/div>\n

These cute little Easter baskets, inspired by Jane Lake of All Free Crafts,\u00a0<\/a>were featured among our Easter ideas in last week’s blog article.\u00a0And as promised\u00a0here are\u00a0our\u00a0instructions on how to make them.<\/p>\n

Step 1:<\/strong> Begin with a square piece of card. If you wish your basket to have a decorative edge, now is a good time to add this. Then divide the card into 9 equal sections as shown and fold along the lines.<\/p>\n

Step 2:<\/strong> Cut along four of your folded lines\u00a0and apply double-sided tape as shown below.<\/p>\n

Step 3:<\/strong> Bring the end pieces from the same side up so that the corners meet\u00a0each other, then fasten in place using the double-side tape. Repeat this on the other side to form the basket. Once that is done stick down the inside flaps to strengthen the sides.<\/p>\n

Step 4:<\/strong> Take another strip of card to make the handle.\u00a0\u00a0Slide it in between the side flaps and fasten it in place with a staple. You could just use double-sided tape, but\u00a0I found that\u00a0a staple\u00a0provided a stronger join which is better\u00a0for carrying heavier objects.<\/p>\n

Step 4<\/p><\/div>\n

Step 5:<\/strong> Decorate\u00a0your basket any way you wish. We gave each basket a colourful base with details on the sides of the handle which also hid the staples from view.<\/p>\n
