For the last few years I have put together a very simple Gingerbread House Decorating party for my son and my nieces. This year I decided to go all out with for this annual party and invite a couple more friends. We had an absolute blast decorating the gingerbread houses – it was such a special time for both kids and parents alike.
It all began with the invitations being hand delivered by these giant gingerbread men.
Setting up for the party was a blast. We totally decked out our living room.
I had a go at making bunting from real gingerbread.
When gingerbread started falling from the sky, I realised that the gingerbread pieces where a bit soft. I probably should have rolled them thinner and baked them for longer, which would have made them stronger for hanging. Hey you live and learn, right?
We set up two mini lolly buffets for the children to chose their decorations from.
Lastly we displayed the children’s aprons and set up a refreshments station. We tried to keep the refreshments simple and fresh as possible.
Then it was time for the guests to arrive.
They had so much fun!
We hope you enjoyed seeing this party, if you have any questions or comments about how we put it together or if you would like us to create a party for your child then please contact us either via email or through the comments section below.
